HOME

When I grow up

I will live in a real house

With my own front door

And a garden round the back

And a cat and a dog

And a husband

And children

Not in a sky-high cottage

In the middle of a city

With neighbours from every land

Between me and my front door

Who are soon my friends

As they come and go

Through my life

Here my house is my husband

And my neighbours are my children

And my garden is on the roof

And my pets are in pictures

And I am alone

But I am free

To sing
